RATCHET

$RATCHET · BNB Smart Chain · PancakeSwap Infinity

New supply unlocks only after the price has doubled and held.

10% of supply is sold at launch to fund the team. The other 90% sits in a contract. It releases at most 5% at a time, at least six months apart, and only after the price has stayed at 2x the last unlock price or higher for more than 30 days. No one holds a key that can change this.

The simulator uses daily closes and assumes the team takes the full 5% every time it's allowed. The contract uses hourly time-weighted average prices from the token's PancakeSwap Infinity pool. The "typical schedule" for comparison is a 1-year cliff, then 3 years linear.

01 · Rules

Three conditions, all at once, every time.

183 days

Since the last unlock

Measured from the previous unlock, or from launch for the first one. Six months, rounded up so it's never short.

2× · 30+ days

Price held at double

The pool's hourly average price has to stay at or above 2x the last unlock price, every hour, for more than 30 days right up to the unlock. One hour below and the count restarts.

≤ 5%

Of total supply, per unlock

The unlock price becomes the new reference, so the next bar is at least twice as high. Whatever the team doesn't take is gone. It never rolls over.

The team can

  • Wait as long as it likes before unlocking
  • Unlock less than 5%
  • Move its beneficiary role to a new multisig (two-step)

Nobody can

  • Unlock early, or more than 5%
  • Change the rules, pause, upgrade or drain the vault
  • Carry unused allowance into the next round

03 · Limits

What this doesn't solve.

  1. A team can buy its own price up.With the launch proceeds, holding a thin pool above 2x for 30 days can cost less than 5% of supply is worth. The contract can't tell real demand from wash buying. Deep, locked liquidity is the real defence.
  2. The oracle is one pool, forever. If liquidity moves to a different pool or DEX, the vault keeps reading the old price. Tokens could then stay locked for good.
  3. Locked forever is possible. If the price never doubles again, nothing more unlocks. That's by design, and holders and the team should both know it upfront.
  4. Short dips can be averaged out.The check uses hourly averages, so a dip that lasts only part of an hour can disappear in the average.
  5. It changes how teams sell.Every unlock raises the next bar to at least twice the unlock price. A team may hold back in a rally to keep the bar reachable.
  6. Audit report pending. The contracts are tested on a BNB Smart Chain mainnet fork, and the audit report will be published here before launch.
